Guests who want farm trout in Ghizer District do not need a separate restaurant in Gilgit city. The ponds sit on the same ground as the rooms. Cold channels keep the fish in mountain water; staff harvest for the lodge kitchen, not for a wholesale market.

How the ponds work

Water comes off the valley snow and glacier melt. It stays cold enough for trout. Guests can walk the paths at the edge of the channels in the evening. The farm is small and family-run: you see the water the fish lived in, then you eat at the same property.
