How to reach Birgal Valley

Mountain Resort Birgal Valley is not in Gilgit city. It is a valley lodge in Ghizer District. Plan daylight for the last stretch and confirm the road the morning you leave.

Suggested route

1. Reach Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway (N-35) from Islamabad or Skardu, by road or by air to Gilgit Airport when flights operate.
2. Continue from Gilgit into Ghizer District on the valley road toward Gahkuch and Punial.
3. Follow signs and local directions into Birgal Valley. The lodge pin is Mountain Resort Birgal Valley (36.3222442, 73.8250556).
4. Message WhatsApp before the last hours of driving. Snow, slides, and river levels can close or slow the road.

When to travel
